What is an Animation?
Animation is the sequence of still images moving at a fast pace, this creates the optical illusion that it is moving. The images reffered to in an animation are called frames. The faster these frames move the clearer the animation is. This is similar to the frames of a monitor, when using setting you can change the FPS (Frames Per Second) which will change the quality of the screen.
Using a flash authoring software you can create these frames easily and manipulate the image and how it moves. The more drastic the change in the frame, the faster and more 'jumpy' the animation will appear. If the image gradually changes over several slides, then the slower and more clear the animation will appear. Using these techniques you can change the way your animation looks and feels to the user.
